Our month-long World’s Finest Chocolate Fundraiser ends this Friday, April 28th. This has been one of our most successful fundraisers to date! With half of students already turning in their money, we are on track to raise over $3000 in student funds to go toward Southern Star & Disney (still pending Board approval) trips, and over $1500 for our Booster fund. However, that will only happen if all students return their money this week. It is imperative that:

For every opened box, students must return $60 for that box.

I’ve had a few students ask what to do if they haven’t sold all of their chocolate. They cannot return the chocolate to the school, but here are a few ideas to sell the last bit of chocolate:
  • Call Kroger, Ingles, or Aldi, and ask if they may sell in front of the store (Publix won’t allow this, but the other 3 usually will).
  • Take it to church or youth group to sell
  • Send to work with parents
  • Check with a local credit union to see if they will buy the remainder in support of our chorus, to give to clients
  • Check with local hair salons, nail places, and tanning salons to see if they would like to either buy a box for clients, or allow students to sell in front of the establishment
  • Students have asked if they may buy chocolate from themselves, and of course the answer is yes.
  • They can still sell at school as long as it is before 8:00am, or after 4:00pm (we can’t sell during school hours).

If a student still has a sealed box of chocolate, they may return that box, and we will return it to World’s Finest for a credit. However, students may not return any opened cases of chocolate to the school, as we will have to pay for those open cases (World’s Finest cannot credit us for open boxes).
Please understand that once a student has opened a box, $60 has to come back to school for that box, otherwise, we will not be able to pay the invoice to World’s Finest, and it would actually cause our Booster Fund to go into debt.
 
Here is the prize program for this fundraiser:
  • Top selling class receives a pizza party
  • Overall top selling student receives $50
  • In addition, the top sellers in each class will receive:
    • ​$75 – 1st place
    • $50 – 2nd place
    • $25 - 3rd place
