Lisa BassettLisa Bassett is in her 7th year as the choral director at Chestatee High School in Gainesville, GA. She has a Master of Arts in Teaching from Piedmont College, and a Bachelor of Arts in Music Performance from North Georgia College & State University. She has served as a private vocal coach, clinician, adjudicator, and accompanist for various schools and events. Mrs. Bassett’s choral students consistently earn superior ratings at Large Group Evaluations, and several of her students and groups have won first place in Region Literary meets, to move on to the State meet, where several have placed as well. She has even helped a student earn a preferred audition for America’s Got Talent. She enjoys sharing her passion of music with others, so that they might continue to develop a love and passion for it as well. Mrs. Bassett’s students have gone on to become music teachers, worship leaders, and professional musicians. She enjoys working with and getting to know students and their families.

Since 2004, she has been a piano and vocal instructor, and has also been playing and singing professionally and at her church. Mrs. Bassett's hobbies include photography, running (if you can actually call running a hobby), and graphic design. She and her husband live in Gainesville with their three children.

Mrs. Bassett is a member of the National Association for Music Educators (NAfME), the Georgia Music Educators Association (GMEA), and the National Federation of Music Clubs (NFMC).
She has served as an adjudicator for NFMC events (2010, 2012, 2014), Piano Guild auditions (2010, 2015), and the 9th District Literary Meet (2005). She has also served as an accompanist for various groups and events, including District 13 Honor Chorus (2013, 2016, 2017). |
