We are planning to hold a mandatory meeting on August 1st- orientation day. We will inform you of the time as soon as Mrs. Bassett’s pre-planning schedule is released. We are super excited for the upcoming year and have many ideas we are excited to share!
Student Leadership Team - Chestatee Choral Department will have a Choral Council that assists the director and communicates between the ensemble and the director.
o President - acts as a student director, assists substitute teachers with rehearsal, warms up the choir when the director is working with other groups, supervises all officer activities and teams, and helps with organizing special projects when needed (including the Spring awards banquet), speaks at concerts, manages Choral Facebook Page.
o Vice President – (must be a Junior) assists the president, acts in place of the president if absent, shadows the president in order to step into the President position Senior year, and helps with organizing special projects when needed.
o Treasurer- helps director and booster club treasurer in collecting money, filling out spreadsheets, and writing receipts.
o Librarian/Secretary-prepares new music for distribution and helps collect and distribute music and repairs music as needed, records notes at meetings/events, creates choral concert program.
o Stage Manager-communicates with Mrs. Bassett regarding performance needs, recruits and coordinates volunteers for stage set-up and tear-down, lights, props, sound, risers, etc.
o Photographer/Media Publicist-photographs choir activities & posts to our facebook/twitter page. Collects photos from other members, emails digital photos to Mrs. Bassett and the yearbook teacher, puts up concert flyers around the school and removes them the day after each concert, puts together the end of the year slide show and choral yearbook.
o Announcement/PR Team-handles making all TV announcements and flyers for school and contacts local paper about upcoming events.
o Sunshine Team-writes thank you notes, helps keep up moral, organizes games for lock-ins, chorus hangouts, end of the year awards show and banquet.

Section Leaders Duties and Responsibilities:
Section Leaders will be Chosen by Mrs. Bassett for each Choir (piano skills are important).
Each section leader is responsible for:
1. Taking attendance of their section
2. Leading sectional rehearsals while the director is working with other parts
3. Monitoring behavior of their section
4. Upholding all Choral Rules and Expectations
